Star Trek 2012 for PC, XB360 and PS3 Teaser Trailer!

A few days ago, we reported on the new upcoming triple-a game being developed by Paramount Digital based on the Star Trek 2009 movie franchise.

Today, out of the Sony E3 Press Conferance, we have a short 1 minute HD teaser trailer to show you all, along with some details on the PS3 version of the game!

The trailer showcases action taking place both onship and on planet surfaces, there is also a very cool space “jump” and a brief shot that shows that we will be able to pilot shuttles!

Many folks around the internet are commenting that this looks like a mashup of the Mass Effect franchise and Star Trek.  Being a huge fan of Mass Effect, I can honestly say that if this is the case, I personally would be very happy.

Phaser attachment and prequel announcement

At the press conference Sony announced that the PS3 version of the game will include a Phaser attachment for the PlayStation®Move motion controller. Also announced was a downloadable “prequel” to the game available before release exclusively on the PlayStation®Network. This prequel will also work with the PlayStation Move.

Star Trek will be coming to the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC in 2012.
