Happy New Year! New Website Online!

Happy New Year! For the last month or so, Trek Radio has been eagerly working on a new and updated website for you all, which we hinted at on our existing website via a countdown timer and mentioned sporadically on air – many of you have been waiting for it and here it is.

We hope you all like the design – we have spent a lot of time on it and will probably still be making little tweaks here and there for the new several days, but this is the result of our hard work so be sure to let us all know what you think by leaving a comment!  The comments system is much easier now, all you have to do is access the story page for the news item you want to read, and the commenting form will be there at the bottom. Alternatively, you can click on the little “x Comments” link on the homepage and be taken right to the comments area!

In the next day or two, we will be launching a new Trek Radio console, a popup window which you can launch via a link in the top right and have access to the music player, the IRC chat room, the new song requests system and song information – we hope that by combining all of this interactivity into one console, you will all feel more compelled to chat in our chat room, request songs and feel invited to participate on a much higher level.

We will be making an important and exciting announcement later on today regarding Trek Radio, so please check back later and look out for that, but in the meantime, be sure to let us know what you think of the new website, report any bugs and last but not least, we hope that you all have a very happy new year!
