David Mack returns 8/31 at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm GMT

A couple of weeks ago, acclaimed author David Mack joined us for what turned out to be part one of an extensive and exclusive interview here on Trek Radio.   We covered alot of ground in the first two hour segment, however, believe it or not, we only got through two out of four pages of notes and questions we had for him!

So today at 11am PST / 2pm EST / 7pm GMT, David Mack will be returning to finish what he started!

Yes, thats right, be sure to tune in for another two hours of hot discussion about his life and his love for Star Trek – we will be discussing some of his latest Star Trek books and some of the new books he is working on right now.  We will discuss Vanguard and the recent decision to bring that book series to a close and we will travel back in time with him for some hilarious stories from his younger years.

Be sure to tune in at 11am PST / 2pm EST / 7pm GMT for what is sure to be a fun filled continuation to this interview.

Did you miss Part 1 of this interview?  No problem, you can listen to it ort download it from our on-demand section at www.trekradio.net/on-demand where you will hear about his youth and how he got involved in Star Trek, his first official writing job (its not what you would expect!), not to mention a rather amusing story involving clothing, showers, nakedness and women!

The Captains Table: A FedCon Special

Earlier this year, one of the largest Star Trek and Sci-Fi conventions in Europe, FedCon XX took place in Dusseldorf, Germany.  Trek Radio attended this event in force to provide full coverage of what turned out to be a fantastic convention with the only sad part being the end of the event and the start of the long wait until May 2012 for FedCon XXI.

Recently, the long wait got a little bit shorter with the announcement of “The Captains Table” – a special event from the organizers of FedCon where several Star Trek captains (currently Kate Mulgrew, Avery Brooks and Patrick Stewart) will be flying out to the Martim Hotel in Dusseldorf for a weekend event where they will host panels, take photos with fans, sign autographs and attend theme parties.

Trek Radio will be heading out to provide full coverage of the event, which starts on the afternoon of September 9th and ends on the evening of September 11th.   Tickets are still available if you wish to attending starting at just €79.00 for a standard weekend pass or €349.00 for a gold pass which includes guarenteed front row seats as well as autographs and photos!   You can buy your tickets by clicking here and be sure to visit the Captains Table website for more information!

Las Vegas Trek Con – Get your Ad Spot on our Flyers!

We at Trek Radio are happy to annouce that we have a limited offer advertising opportunity available for you all at the moment.  The deadline for this offer is August 2nd 2011.

From August 11th until August 14th, Trek Radio will be attending The Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas and for the duration of the convention, we will be handing out flyers from our extremely well positioned table/booth as well as handing them out around the floor.

We are printing a run of 8,000 flyers for this convention and Trek Radio is offering four advertising spots on the rear of these flyers, at the following size per ad spot:

  • 105mm (height) by 74mm (width)

Earlier this year, we offered a similar deal on our FedCon Flyers and the response that we recieved was fantastic – all of our advertisers reported a fantastic increase in traffic to their websites and each of them agreed that it was money well spent!  This is a great oppurtunity for some highly targeted advertising and remember, Trek Radio will be handing these out both from our booth/table AND around the convention floor!

The cost of each advertising spot is $149.99 and if you are interested in taking 2 spots, side by side (for a total of 105mm x 148mm) then you will recieve a slight discount, with both spots for $284.99

If you are interested in advertising on these flyers, please contact zach@startrekradio.com – we must have your payment and artwork by no later than August 4th 2011, so please keep this deadline in mind when considering this offer.

These ad spots sold out in less than 5 days on our previous FedCon flyers, so if you are interested, please bare in mind that this is a hot offer and availability is extremely limited!

Thanks for your support!

Alpha Waves Radio with Eddie McClintock from Warehouse 13

Earlier this year, Trek Radio announced a partnership with The Federation and Airlock Alpha, the latter of which is a leading website for sci-fi related entertainment news.

Trek Radio is now delighted to announce that we have signed a deal with Airlock Alpha founder Michael Hinman, whereby their critically aclaimed live podcast, Alpha Waves Radio, which previously aired on BlogTalkRadio, will air exclusively on Trek Radio every Thursday at 8pm EST and 11pm EST.

“I’m very excited to have such an exciting radio site dedicated to science-fiction fans hosting Alpha Waves Radio,” said Michael Hinman, host of Alpha Waves Radio, and the founder of Airlock Alpha and the GenreNexus website network. “Zach Nicodemous and his crew have built something quite amazing and the timing couldn’t be more perfect.”

Hosted by Hinman, the first episode, airing on Thursday 21st July, will feature an interview with Warehouse 13 Star, Eddie McClintock.

“I really don’t know anyone more classy and more genuine than Eddie,” Hinman said. “The chemistry that he has with Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek and Allison Scagliotti on ‘Warehouse 13’ really makes those wonderful stories come to life. And I think it’s time we get some secrets out of Eddie that he hasn’t shared anywhere else. Or, we can just talk about how much fun CCH Pounder is on the set. Guess we’ll have to find out.”

Do not miss the return of Alpha Waves Radio, exclusively on Trek Radio and be sure to tune in on Thursday 21st July at 8pm EST / 5pm PST / 1am GMT
