Warp Speed Ahead STLV

Last year we got together with 20,000 of our closest friends and rocked the prime out of the directive. This time, we go once more unto the breach to celebrate not only fandom but the 20th Anniversary of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine – the series that changed the way we viewed the Roddenberry Universe. Trek Radio, along with our favorite Niners and over 100 other Star Trek and science fiction favorites, are descending upon Sin City for Creation Entertainment’s Official Star Trek Las Vegas (STLV) convention.

The largest Star Trek convention in the world will pack non-stop, around the clock live entertainment into an unprecedented four day Trek-stravaganza. EVERYONE who attends STLV is guaranteed a seat in their main theater where all the stars, major attractions, and exclusive signings take place. No worrying about getting in or being cut off while waiting in line, no extra hassles, and no extra charges to see the biggest stars. Not to mention unfettered access to the vendor’s room where Ferengi of all kinds are waiting to work out that perfect memorabilia deal just for you.

Trek Radio station along with its broadcasting podcasters STOked Radio and Priority One have teamed up to bring the ultimate fan experience to Star Trek Las Vegas – the restored Enterprise-D bridge from Star Trek: The Next Generation. On display at the convention will be the entire center section of the bridge, including all chairs and computers so make sure to check it out at the Trek Radio booth. Keep your comm channels open for more exciting details and exclusive audio and video content streamed straight from the Trek Radio booth, including:

1. A Klingon invasion of the bridge
2. Some trouble with Tribble Toys
3. Celebrity interviews
4. A very special renewal of vows
5. Visits from our friends over at Geek Nation Tours, G&T Show, Gates of Stovokor, and more!

We’ll also be introducing an exciting new panel, giving attendees a behind-the-scenes look into New Starship’s Enterprise Bridge Restoration Project and Sci-Fi Museum. Founder Huston Huddleston and members of the Board of Directors Doug Drexler (DS9/BSG), David Gerrold (writer, TOS/TNG), Larry Nemecek (writer/historian), and surprise guests discuss this massive project that began with fans saving a discarded Paramount-built touring set and turning it into what will become the world’s first interactive educational Sci-Fi Museum.

But why have one panel when you can have two? Once again, Trek Radio and Massively will be moderating the Inside Star Trek Online panel presented by StarTrek.com. This will be a Q&A session Saturday, August 10th with the Star Trek Online (STO) Development Team. This year marks Cryptic Studios’ return to Creation Entertainment’s Official Star Trek Las Vegas Convention. Cryptic staff will bring gaming and Star Trek fans alike all of the behind-the-scenes news and information they crave. Learn about Star Trek Online, the Legacy of Romulus expansion, and more with the developers. Daniel Stahl, Al Rivera, Thomas Marrone, and Brandon Felczer will be answering your questions and presenting exciting audio-visual tidbits for the convention crowd; including trailers, “sneak-peaks” of upcoming game content, as well as some cool surprises for those in attendance.

If you can’t wait until Saturday, Trek Radio will be broadcasting StarTrek.com’s highly anticipated Legacy of Romulus Panel with TNG fan favorite Denise Crosby. The Empress herself will be sitting down with Star Trek Online’s Al Rivera and Brandon Felczer on Friday, August 9th to discuss her role as Sela and how it translates to the game.

We’re also very happy to announce that Massively, along with Trek Radio, STOked Radio and Priority One Podcast, is once again rounding up attending Cryptic developers for a casual get-together we call Hangin’ with the Devs! If you will be in the Las Vegas area and would like to spend a couple of hours talking with some of the developers behind Star Trek Online, you can join us at iBar in the Rio Hotel and Casino on Saturday, August 10th, from 8 to 10 p.m. EDT (5 to 7 p.m. PDT).

With so many Humans, Klingons, Romulans and others attending the event, there’s bound to be a massive turn-out. Don’t miss the galaxy’s greatest party coming to the fabulous Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas on August 8-11, 2013.
