9 New Infinite Space Screenshots, FedCon, more!
GameForge and Keen Games have kindly provided Trek Radio with 9 new screenshots to showcase their amazing browser based MMORPG, Star Trek: Infinite Space! In the screenshots, you can see the amazing graphics that are going to be present in the game as well as an example of the user interface!
It should be noted that these images are all from a pre-alpha build of Infinite Space and according to our sources, the game is changing and improving daily!
GameForge have also announced that they are going to be attending FedCon in Dusseldorf, Germany later this month with several members of the games team on-location to answer YOUR questions about the game, as well as a playable version of the game that attending guests will be able to try out!
As many of you know, Trek Radio will be attending the convention and we plan to provide full coverage of Star Trek: Infinite Space. It should also be noted that we will be conducting an exclusive interview with the development team, so if you have any questions you’d like asked, be sure to email them to zach@startrekradio.com !

I hate be a nay-sayer here, and I despise the doom-predictors, but this looks a lot more shallow than STO. Granted, time will tell, but the only other browser game that I have experience with is BSG Online, also looks cool, but is extremely shallow gameplay-wise.
I have been waiting for this game for ages! When is it gonna come out?
Hot!!!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to this game! STO has it’s own genre, but this STIS game looks like a sure winner with the players who checked out the specs. Can hardly wait when game is open to testing!
@Kinjiru. The browser based factor may be limited but from several articles out there online they talk about how both Starfleet and Klingon factions have their own storylines. There is branching dialogue and more diplomacy and Exploration missions etc. STO is quite shallow in the sense that there is no branching Dialogue and Exploration/Diplomacy is quite poor. (I’m a fan of STO so i aint bashing it) but i’m certainly gonna give Infinite Space a blast. Its free after all
@Christopher. So far no official date has been established for the game other than Summer this year. Testing is due to start in the next month or 2 from what i’ve been seeing on the forums.
Ive never liked browser based games with live sequences, the most recent Battlestar game attracts the best attention to whats wrong witih Browser based MMO’s. Sorry to say but as suspicous as i am with practically everything and especially technology, i seriously doubt this new trek game will be any better… if you truely want this game to pick up and fly like Petrov did in his renault a couple of weeks ago in sepang, its best you put the game on a stand alone like STO, STA2:Fleet ops.
I would be truely amazed if the game reaches the level i expect to see for an MMO based game, twice i expect that off this game because its star trek. however i will not dismiss it since its worth the effort to find out if i am right to be so critical of it… So Pre-alpha it says, so its about 1 year before anyone outside the devs get the chance to roll with it properly.
oh BTW the Galaxy screen shot with the phaser fire, its not on its phaser firing arc and the BOP’s are much larger then they should be… thats not a good vibe already.
through all that, i do however hope to be wrong..
