Trek Radio Returns to STLV

STLV 50

Trek Radio returns to the largest Star Trek convention in the world this August 3 – 7 as we beam over to the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino for Creation Entertainment‘s Star Trek Las Vegas convention celebrating the 50th anniversary of Star Trek.

Trek Radio will once again have a presence in the Brasilia Ballroom vendor room where we will broadcast audio and video from our booth, conduct interviews with celebrities and convention-goers, and transmit the sights and sounds of the convention to the community via our website and social media outlets.

The Away Team making the journey to Vegas this year will be Risa, DeyvID, Mighty Mundane, and Maverick. The team will be stationed at the booth as well as roaming the convention areas and the hotel to provide coverage of the panels, events and activities happening throughout the 5-day Trekstravaganza.

Kicking off the convention on Tuesday, August 2, Trek Radio joins forces with the Seventh Annual STLV Landing Party hosted by Mission Log: A Roddenberry Star Trek Podcast, Trekland’s Portal 47, and Glue Guns and Phasers, sponsored by Geek Nation Tours, Bye Bye Robot, Trek Movie, and Trek Radio. This special party runs from 9pm to 11pm and will feature trivia, prizes, music, drinks and celebrity guests in the luxurious 1600 square foot Masquerade Suite provided by CriteriCon and Trek Radio.

Running concurrent with STLV in the Rio will be the CriteriCon 2016 Prequel event, debuting the new convention founded by Adrianne Grady to celebrate and spotlight innovative creators, interactive entertainment and independent artists. Along with the many great panels being presented exclusively for CriteriCon, Trek Radio will host a live party in the Masquerade Suite featuring music, drinks and entertainment with Trek Radio staff, friends in the community, and perhaps a few surprise celebrity guests. DeyvID will also present a panel teaching the basic fundamentals for learning the Klingon language.

Be sure to follow @TrekRadio on Twitter, TrekRadioOfficial on Facebook and Instagram and TrekRadio on YouTube for daily coverage and updates; and stay tuned to Trek Radio as we roll out convention coverage after the event as well.

As always, we encourage everyone to share convention experiences with us by tagging us and using the hashtag #LoveTrek. We hope to see you in Vegas for #STLV50.
