STO Sets a Course for Las Vegas!
DISCUSSION WITH THE DEVELOPERS PANEL ANNOUNCED
Last year over 20,000 of our closest friends partied like a Spock Star at The Rio Hotel and this year we intend to rock the Prime out of the Directive once again! Since 1971 Creation Entertainment has staged over 2,000 fan conventions, and this August members of the United Federation of Planets are mingling with over seventy-five of their favorite “Star Trek” heroes and villains.
Brandon Felczer, former columnist for Massively, hosted last year’s “Dine with the Devs” event as an informal gathering at a local restaurant. The function, simulcast live over the internet by Trek Radio, was so successful the restaurant space was filled to capacity and many hopefuls were turned away at the door. Not to worry, the enchanting Terilynn Shull has moved this year’s event to the spacious DeForest Kelley theatre.
TrekRadio.net and Massively.com are proud to host a Q&A session Saturday, August 11th, at 11:00 AM local time with the Star Trek Online (STO) Development Team. This year marks Cryptic Studios’ first ever panel appearance at Creation Entertainment’s Official Star Trek Las Vegas Convention. Cryptic staff will bring gaming and Star Trek fans alike all of the behind-the-scenes news and information they crave. Interact directly with Cryptic employees at this year’s “Discussion with the Devs” event. Representatives in attendance include:
- Daniel Stahl, Executive Producer – Makes it so!
- Jesse Heinig, Content Designer – Responsible for the implementation of concepts, objects, maps, story creation and development.
- Thomas Marrone, UI and Concept Artist – Creates art assets for icons and objects, pogs for ships, and interface elements for mini games and banks.
- Brandon Felczer, Community Manager – Monitors forums and media outlets, assembles blogs, and coordinates public relations and press releases.
The developers will be answering your questions and presenting exciting audio-visual tidbits for the convention crowd; including trailers, “sneak-peaks” of upcoming game content, as well as some cool surprises for those in attendance! So whether you’re a player, fan, or green-blooded hobgoblin this panel will have something for you!
With so many Humans, Klingons, Romulans and others attending the event, there is bound to be a massive turn-out. Don’t miss the galaxy’s greatest party, Creation Entertainment’s Official STAR TREK Convention, coming to the fabulous Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas on August 9-12, 2012.
